Former Super Eagles skipper, Joseph Yobo, has become a possible target for Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04, according latest report emanating from Germany.
The veteran who has defended the colours of Everton, Fenerbahce, Norwich City, Olympique Marseille and Standard Liege in the past is currently a free agent.
According to TMW, the UEFA Champions League campaigners have made tentative enquiries about Yobo and the idea of moving to Germany should be attractive for the central defender.
Yobo made 23 appearances for Marseille before moving to Everton in 2002 where he made 220 appearances, playing impressively at top flight English football until the age of 30.
After his stints with Fenerbahce and Norwich City, the Michellin product became a free agent.
The retired Nigerian international, reached a century of caps for his country in 2014, having represented the Super Eagles at three FIFA World Cups and six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
